What is the Board of Trustees?
The Board of Trustees is the official governing body of the school and is made up of five volunteers. The Board of Trustees is responsible for creating school policy and ensuring that a quality education is delivered in alignment with the school’s charter. The board welcomes all to its public monthly meetings, the minutes of which, once approved are available in the school office.
When are the meetings for the Board of Trustees?
Board Meetings are generally held on the third Monday of each month at 3:00PM. They are advertised in accordance with New Jersey law.

Ms. Wendie Blanchard - Board President
Mrs. Blanchard is a former Charter School parent. Ms. Blanchard is a educational consultant for a variety of technological and educational topics and she also has great expertise in public relations. She is also the founder of the non-profit Arthur & Friends, an organization that trains differently-able adults to grow and harvest hydroponic vegetables and market them to local restaurants. Affiliations: Board Member ? Pass it Along, Workforce Investment (Morris, Sussex, Warren Counties), various environmental boards and commissions.
Dr. Stephen Candio-
Dr. Candio is a local dentist and a former Charter School parent. Affiliations: Dental Materials Consultant 3m?ESPE, Seefeld Germany, Clinical Research Associates Evaluator, Council for Innovative Dentistry, Consultant, New Jersey State Board of Dentistry. Dr. Candio is a former Charter School parent as well.
Mr. Michael Nelms-
Mr. Nelms is a local Real Estate Attorney. He is a member of the Board of Hampton Township Rotary and a member of the Project Self-Sufficiency Legal Referral Board. He has a 7th grader at the Charter School.
Mr. Angelo Cocchiara-
Mr. Cocchiara, a former Charter parent, has also been active on the Charter School?s PTO. He works for the North Jersey District Water Commission and is the Fire Chief of Hamburg and a member of the Fire School Board of Directors for Sussex County.
Mrs. Pat Wilson-
Mrs. Wilson is a retired academic/personal care aide for Hampton Township/McKeown School and NJEA member, member of Sussex County Co-op, Educational Director for NORWESCAP's program Arthur & Friends, and a member Branchville Planning/Zoning Board.
